Nasturtium Flower Fried Rice

One of my great pleasures in life is cooking. It helps me relax after a day of work.

I like to use things I grow and try new ideas with them. One of these ideas was to add some Nasturtium Flowers to a dish of fried rice. The nasturtium flowers have a kind of pepper like heat to them and I think the idea worked quite well. I was happy with the result.

Hmm, we make our own pizza (base is bought from shops unfortunately but all other is home grown). Interesting idea... never really played with flowers before in food. It definitely gives it some colour. Is it healthy? I mean, its not poisonous or anything is it?

These Nasturtium flowers are not poisonus and the green leaves can be eaten as well. They also have a peppery taste. But of course always research and check what you are picking first to be safe.
